Alokasi Waktu                       : 6  x 40 menit (3  x pertemuan)

A.    Tujuan Pembelajaran:
Pada akhir pembelajaran siswa dapat:
1.         Mengidentifikasi struktur umum teks naratif.
2.         Mengidentifikasi berbagai informasi dalam teks monolog narrative.
3.         Mengidentifikasi tujuan komunikatif teks recount pendek sederhana.
4.         Mengidentifikasi makna kata.
5.         Mengidentifikasi rujukan kata ganti.
6.         Mengidentifikasi ide utama paragragraf.
7.         Membiasakan sikap bekerja keras, kerjasama, disiplin, cinta tanah air, suka membaca.

B.    Materi Pembelajaran:
·           Teks monolog narrative cerita lokal dan international.
·           Tujuan Komunikatif  teks dan struktur umum teks narrative.
·           Kosa kata :
-          Verbs : decided, walked, peeped,  become, wanted, entertain, called etc
-          Nouns : hut, palace,  story, patience, wizard, miracle, fairy, illness
-          Adjectives : surprised, sudden, delicious, wicked, noble, unhappy
-          Conjunction : then, as, after, however, but, because, when, while
·            Grammar : Past Tense, Past Continous Tense

·           Cooperative Learning/Students-Teams Achievement Division
D.    Langkah-langkah Kegiatan:
1.         Kegiatan Awal:
·           Salam dan tegur sapa
·           Mengecek kehadiran siswa
·           Pembiasaan menerapkan dialog sederhana antar siswa secara klasikal.
·           Pretes.
·           Mengarahkan siswa kepada topik bahasan yang akan dipelajari dengan menginformasikan tujuan dan kegiatan pembelajaran.
·           Membagi siswa ke dalam kelompok diskusi dengan anggota yang heterogen.
·           Menyaksikan video klip film Cinderella.
2.         Kegiatan Inti:
Pertemuan ke-1
a.         Eksplorasi
·            Tanya jawab tentang cerita Cinderella.
o    Who are the characters?
o    Where is the story from?
o    What happened to the character?
o    How is the end of the story?
o    What moral value can we get from the story.
·            Mendiskusikan kosa kata yang akan digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
·            Membaca teks naratif sederhana (Cinderella) yang ditayangkan di layar LCD.
·            Mengidentifikasi informasi dan tujuan komunikatif dari teks tersebut.
b.         Elaborasi
·               Siswa bekerja sama dalam kelompok membaca teks naratif (The Legend of The South Ocean Queen) bersama-sama.
·                Berdiskusi untuk mengidentifikasi kosa kata sulit.
·               Berdiskusi mengidentifikasi pertanyaan dan jawaban pertanyaan berdasarkan teks.

c.          Konfirmasi
·               Tiap kelompok mempresentasikan minimal 10 kosa kata sulit.
·               Guru memberikan balikan atas hasil diskusi siswa.
·               Memberi kesempatan pada siswa untuk menanyakan kesulitan materi.

Pertemuan ke-2
a.             Eksplorasi
·        Tanya jawab tentang cerita tentang cerita rakyat Golden Snail dengan melihat gambar cerita Golden Snail.
-       What is the story about?
-       Who are the characters in the story?
-       What happened to the characters?
-       How was the end of the story?.
·       Mengidentifikasi struktur teks Golden Snail.
·       Mengidentifikasi tujuan komunikatif teks tersebut.
b.      Elaborasi
·      Siswa bekerja sama dalam kelompok membaca teks naratif (The Legend of The South Ocean Queen) bersama-sama.
·       Berdiskusi mengidentifikasi pertanyaan dan jawaban pertanyaan berdasarkan teks.
·      Berdiskusi untuk mempersiapkan presentasi hasil diskusi.
c.        Konfirmasi
·      Tiap kelompok mempresentasikan beberapa nomor pertanyaan sesuai nomor undian.
·      Guru memberikan balikan atas hasil jawaban siswa.
·      Menyimpulkan materi.
·      Menanyakan kesulitan pembelajaran materi yang dihadapi siswa.

               Pertemuan ke-3
a.        Eksplorasi
·        Guru mendemonstrasikan cerita dengan tokoh wayang Arjuna and Hanoman, lalu menanyakan pada siswa:
§   Who are the characters in the story?
§   What happened to the characters?
§   How was the end of the story?.
·             Menjelaskan kalimat Past Tense dan Past Continous Tense.
·             Mereview kosa kata dan identifikasi teks naratif cerita pada pertemuan sebelumnya.
b.         Elaborasi
·      Belajar bersama dalam kelompok diskusi untuk mereview tujuan, struktur teks, kosa kata dari cerita The Legend of The South Ocean.
c.         Konfirmasi
·      Memberi kesempatan pada siswa untuk menanyakan kesulitan materi.
·      Mengerjakan reading quiz secara individu.
3.Kegiatan Akhir:
1.    Guru bersama siswa refleksi pembelajaran.
2.    Memberi balikan pada hasil quiz dengan memberikan penghargaan pada kelompok diskusi terbaik sebagai Super Team. Penilaian diambil dari poin yang dikumpulkan anggota dari perbandingan nilai awal dan nilai akhir.

Rounded Rectangle: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Kadita. Because of her beauty she was called Dewi Srengene. It means the goddess of sun. Her father was King Munding Wangi . Although he had a beautiful daughter, he was unhappy because he always expected to have a son. 
The king decided to marry Dewi Mutiara. He has a son from her. Dewi Mutiara wanted her son to become a king in the future. She asked the king to send his daughter away. The king did not agree.
Dewi Mutiara called a black wizard to curse Kadita. She wanted Kadita’s beautiful body full of ulcer. Then Kadita’s body was full of ulcer. It smelled bad. The beautiful princess cried. The king was very sad. None could cure his daughter’s illness. The king did not want her daughter to be a rumor so he sent his daughter away.
The poor princess did not know where to go. However, she had a noble heart. She did not have any bad feeling about her step mother. She walked almost seven days and seven nights. Then she came to the South Ocean. The ocean was so clean and clear. She jumped into the water and swam.
Suddenly, there was a miracle. The ocean water cured her illness. She became more beautiful than before. She also had a power to command the whole South Ocean. She became a fairy called Nyi Roro Kidul or the Queen of South Ocean.
