Thunders on Her Stomach

One day the rain fell heavily on the land where I have been living. The thunders sounded like angry tigers on the sky above my house. I could not take a nap of course. The scary noises outside made me awake and even forced me to walk into my house verandah. There I could see the trees danced following the big wind. The roofs of my neighbor’s houses flew down. I was worried with the people living inside but none ran out from the houses. It seemed that everyone was fine.
Suddenly I heard someone crying loudly. I looked around to find whose voice was that. It was not from outside. Surprisingly the cry was coming from my own bedroom. I moved fast into my room and I saw my six years daughter’s eyes were full of tears. She looked so scary and fainted. I thought she was afraid of the thunders and the hard rain which was noisy.
I gave my big hug on her and tried to calm her down. When the thunders weren’t a loud anymore my daughter said in low voices, “Mummy, the thunders have blown to my stomach. Can you hear them?” She gave me a sign with her look to come close to her stomach. I did what she asked. I heard her stomach was busy. She was greatly hungry!
